Judo in France is one of the most popular sports in after Football, Rugby and Tennis . The French Judo federation has 600,000 members of which 80% children under the age of 12.

France is the second nation in the Olympics for Judo behind Japan with a staggering 51 medals.

France currently has Judo’s biggest star and champion, the 10 times world and 2 times Olympic champion Teddy Riner who is masively popular in France.
