Israel’s Itamar Marani made an interesting video on his blog imbjj.com , about Checkmat BJJ Brazilan Headquarters’ different training methodology. Jackson Sousa is a product of Checkmat Rio (Fightzone) under his coach Ricardo Vieira.

If you’ve ever been curious as to how the world champions that come out of checkmat rio train like then here’s a sneak peak… This week I wanted to share how a Jiu Jitsu class at Checkmat Brazil HQ is structured and how the teaching methodology there looks.
Checkmat Rio is led by Ricardo Vieira, a 9 time world champion, who has also created several world champions himself. His approach to teaching BJJ is fairly unique and interesting and showcasing that is the primary reason why I wanted to make this video.
