Being one of the first blue belts in Karachi, Alisha Ahmad discovered that no one was really practicing the Gentle art in the city. Since he fist started coaching Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in Karachi, the sport has gain exposure in other areas of Pakistan as well such as Lahore and Islamabad.

Alisha stated:

“There are a couple of purple belts in Lahore, There is Bashir Ahmed in Lahore, he is very famous he is known for starting MMA in Pakistan, He teaches mainly NoGi, They are running a gym called synergy in Lahore. Now there is a guy from Team Nogueira Dubai, Jazie Rashad now he’s teaching there. So we are slowly developing Jiu-Jitsu in Pakistan. When I came Mr Tariq Ali, who runs Karachi martial arts, he gave me the opportunity to teach at his gym, slowly but surely we have developed a following.”
