12 Essential Things To Avoid in Jiu-Jitsu

If you are planning on training or currently train at an academy for Jiu-Jitsu, MMA , or any other martial arts, here are some helpful tips to help you out.

 

1-Avoid talking while rolling
2-Don’t teach while your instructor is teaching
3-Wash your gi (kimono)
4-Don’t wear jewelry while training
5-Wear fitted gi (kimono)
6-Stay off the mat if you are sick or have infections/viruses
7-No shoes of any kind on the mat
8-Cut your nails
9-No Curse words while training foul language
10-While drilling time, don’t stop after 2 attempts to talk, keep drilling
11-Wash your hands when you go to the bathroom
12- Ego’s are not cool when you train
13-Try to not grab teamate’s skin as you grab their gi
