The king of the Leg-drag, 50-50 guard and Berimbolo, Rafael Mendes, is coming to Eastern Europe for the first time! The acclaimed professor and competitor will be a guest of one of Eastern Europe’s largest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teams – Twisted Jiu Jitsu for two straight days – 16th and 17th of November.

Each day will encompass a three-hour long training session with detailed explanation of your favourite moves which will be more than enough to give people a peek at the tremendous knowledge and skill that Rafa possesses.
The six-time World Champion, two-time ADCC Champion and three-time European Champion – Rafael Mendes is regarded as one of the best and most technical athletes in the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The 27 year old phenom has been a black belt for 8 years and is responsible for the shocking record of 93 wins and only 7 losses. Even though it is hard to believe, Mendes has never been submitted during a fight. Part of the legendary ATOS gym under Andre Galvao, he is one of the most famous and successful names in the martial art today.
On the 31st of May 2015, at the 20th World Jiu Jitsu Championship, Rafael Mendes broke the record of featherweight world titles, set by Royler Gracie in 1999, with his 5th win at black belt. Since then, he has attained the golden medal during the 2016 Worlds, which now makes him a 6x World Champ.
Besides accomplished champions, Rafael and his brother Guilherme are the owners and professors at one of the most successful BJJ academies in the whole world – Art Of Jiu Jitsu Academy (AOJ).
