FightinglifestyleUAE.com caught up with Jonna Konivuori, a female pilot and an IBJJF purple belt world champion, currently based out of Muscat, Oman.
Some of Jonna’s achievement consist of being a 2014 IBJJF purple belt world champion, Rio winter open gold medalist, UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro absolute bronze medalist, IBJJF Europeans open class gold medalist among other accomplishments. Jonna Konivouri talks to us about her team and affiliates and how being a pilot living in Oman effects her as a top level competitor.
Jonna Kunivuori who is originally from Finland stated:
“When I am competing it is not easy to find enough time for training because my schedule is very irregular and also getting certain off days for competitions can be tough. Usually when I get my flight schedule I plan as if I was still a student. I try to train BJJ at least five times a week but it is not always possible, but those days I can not go, I try and supplement it with gym, lifting or some running, but usually everyday I try and do something. Well it all depends on my work schedule.”
