What do you think about the current BJJ scene (Gi and No Gi) and what do you think is the difference in mentality between BJJ and Sambo/Wrestling?

I have never trained in gi…At the highest level grapplers are very technical. Most of them started training at very early age.Just like I did in wrestling.I am working very hard at the technical aspect of the game. But I am constantly developing with each tournament I compete at.I think the results speak for themselves.

Many people see in you a big potential for MMA. Why have you decided to stick to grappling?

I am working on my boxing and kickboxing and hopefully I can get it to a level so I can compete at MMA.

Do you follow the Grappling scene back home in Russia and how do you see its progress?

Grappling in Russia is starting rapidly develop in past 4-5 years. It is becoming increasingly popular mainly due to influence of MMA.I see a lot of talent and guys are developing at fast pace.

What is next for you in 2016?

I would like to thank to all my fans and supporters all over the world. I can promise you that they will see with each tournament better version of me.
