There Isn’t a Better App: The BJJ Video Vault

Given the world we live, which is so driven by technology, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that we seem to have a new app or DVD series everyday targeted towards Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners like these videos on Drilling.

While that’s not always a bad thing, it can cause some over-saturation and watered down products.

Recently, I got my hands on the BJJ Video Vault app, and after giving it a spin, I walked away very impressed.  For something that runs just $1, the content trumps the price.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Content Aplenty

Upon my first time launching the app on my iPhone, I was mightily impressed!  Right away, you’re greeted by the main screen, which is simple to use, and all you have to do is swipe down or up, and then click your desired tab.

On top of the usual content—facebook page, Twitter, ‘about us’, etc—the BJJ Video Vault provides some nice nuggets of wisdom that any grappler could find useful.

Under the ‘BJJ Video Vault’ tab lies an ocean of videos waiting to be watched!  With instructional videos for sweeps, techniques, passes, etc., you can also enjoy competition videos, as well as mini-documentary videos!  This is a nice change of pace, as they aren’t throwing just information at you.  Having various types of videos offers the subscriber a great opportunity to absorb various types of information.

Not only do they offer various types of footage, but when I scrolled down to the bottom of the screen, I let out a “woah!” when I saw there was 72 pages worth of these videos!

If the abundance of video content isn’t enough, there are also menus where you can go to see reviews on their other various products, as well as BJJ Today, which offers a wider scope in the BJJ world, outside of just what happens on the mat.

I found this to be a nice touch for those looking to evolve and learn the sport and the culture in one.

Navigating & Using The Application’s Interface

As someone that is big into technology, I’m a stickler for having a nice organized app.  If you open something and it just feels clunky, chances are high that you’ll close it and go about your day, and likely even delete the app soon after.

With the BJJ Video Vault, I experienced no issues what so ever with their navigation and the user interface.  As I stated previously, everything is so nicely laid out on the main menu that it makes navigation a breeze.

After a quick swipe and a click of the screen, you’ll be at your desired location!  And with just one main screen, and one page per category, if you want to get back to the main menu to go elsewhere in the app, then you’ll find it easy and convenient to do so by simply clicking the icon in the top left screen to return to the previous page.

Top-to-bottom, this app was something I found useful almost instantly.  When I opened it, I originally did so with intentions to jump right into a review but found myself distracted with all of the amazing content that was provided!

For the $1 price tag, you might as well be committing robbery! Grab it hear on the Google Play Store OR here on iTunes!
