Rodolfo Vieira Set to Return for 2015 ADCC in Sao Paulo

Rodolfo Vieira has just confirmed his participation to the 2015 ADCC scheduled for 28th 29th of August in São Paulo.

The black belt was unable to defend his title at the WPJJC and World IBJJF due to an injury in the lower back (herniated discs). Last May, he described the injury:

“I want to rest out for a while and come back 100%. I have been feeling this lower back pain for a while, but it never stopped me from training. Last year, in Paris, I was training when I felt this terrible pain on my lumbar region. I had to cancel all my seminars at that time and go back to Brazil to treat it. The fact is it did not get better.”

Rodolfo has now confirmed that his physical therapy sessions are going well and that he has received the invitation from ADCC. He expects to have made a full recovery by the time of the ADCC.

He will split his training between GFTeam and the X-Gym in Rio. According to Rodolfo, his goal now is to move up in weight to fight the event in Sao Paulo in the -99kg.
