The next big event in the European BJJ calendar are the 2016 European Jiu-Jitsu championships! This year with 3,517 registered competitors, the European is once again the biggest championship in the world, surpassing the Pan (3,000 last year).

This shows the huge growth of Jiu-Jitsu in Europe as last year, there were 3,400 competitors, and 2,300 competitors in 2014.

The Europeans will this year be held in Odivelas near Lisbon, Portugal, between 20th and January 24th, and will feature the presence of major names of Jiu-Jitsu world.

For the first time ever, there will be live streaming with multi mat technology and live commentating of the IBJJF 2016 European Championships!

This is the first time ever at the new location: Pavilhão Multiusos de Odivelas which is a multifunctional space that offers exceptional conditions for performances, congresses, conferences, seminars, ecumenical meetings, large or small meetings, product launches, catering, fairs and exhibitions. It also includes a Gymnasium, housed in a modern building, with excellent design and where users can enjoy different types of physical activity. It has a capacity of close to 5,000 seats.
