First 2 Days Of Europeans: Russian Wins Double Gold Blue Belt & Brazilian Wins Double Gold Purple

Days 1 & 2 of the 2014 European are done and dusted.

The first two days were focused on white, blue and purple belts. Browns and blacks will go on Saturday and Sunday.

In the blue belt, Russian Anton Selezenev from Caio Terra Brasa was very impressive and winning both the ultra-heavyweight division and the open class, in the male blue belt. After four matches, he defeated Reinier de Ridder in the final for the title.

Brazilian Nicholas Meregali from Alliance is the purple belt open class champion. In his debut in the purple belt, Meregali also won the medium-heavy division. In the absolute, the Alliance /Mario Reis athlete defeated Diego Ramalho (GB) with a head and arm choke (katagatame).
