BJJPix Ignores Controversy & Continues Shooting Sexy Pictures of Grappling Athletes

2014 BJJ photographer of the year, William Burkhardt of BJJPIX is at it again. Despite the controversy from his last sexy photo set of Jena Sapinoso, (purple belt under Carlos Sapão in San Francisco, CA), Burkhardt has made another sexy shoot, this time with Taynara Melo, a Judo brown belt and student of Judo legend Flavio Canto.

The BJJPix photo shoots show partial nudity while wearing a BJJ Gi which is a cause for controversy in the BJJ community.

Burkhardt who is from France, told BJJEE.com that he plans to continue his work of shooting sexy pictures of female BJJ and Judo athletes and he has a full list of more female athletes coming up.

5x world BJJ champion Gezary Matuda recently gave her opinion on the controversial topic of BJJ women athletes posing for sexy pictures.

For her, BJJ women shouldn’t pose for these kind of pictures. She is against that and believes that women have much more to show than just posing for sexy pictures:

I don’t know what they have in mind but I think that we women have more to show than just a body.  When I started listening to things as’ this is not for girls’ and ‘you cry a lot, go do other things “… We (women) fight over ten years to achieve respect in the sport, and it can not change now,”
