We have lost a BJJ brother. Paul Walker from “Fast and the Furious” is no longer with us. The long time BJJ pratitioner (brown belt) died in a horrible car accident this Saturday.

The “Fast and Furious” was said to be returning from a charity event when the car he was riding as a passenger hit a tree and caught fire.

Walker trained under Paragon BJJ’s Ricardo “Franjinha” Miller.

Franjinha said this on his facebook:

“No words can describe my feeling right now, just RIP Bro. Your kindness and friendship will be missed. I just can’t believed it. But, I want to thank you for the great times and memories that we shared together. I will Never forget It. Go in peace my friend.”

Walker said that being a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu helped him tame the craziness of Hollywood:

“I try to be relaxed, and it’s hard in this environment but BJJ’s a good outlet. It keeps you flexible and competitive with yourself. But more than anything, it keeps you in really good shape and compliments so many of the sports I like to do — like surfing especially, since flexibility is so important.”

RIP brother.
