WWE Superstar Matt Riddle Promoted To BJJ Black Belt

Matt Riddle, a WWE superstar, has been promoted to the rank of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt yesterday!
The promotion took place at the Daniel Gracie academy in Orange County (Orlando, Florida):

Finally got my bjj black belt and I couldn’t be happier, thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me along the way.

Even though Matt Riddle is best known for his WWE career, it should come as no surprise that he is also a former mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.
He had a successful MMA career and he also fought in the UFC. And, even though he retired with an 8-3 record, Riddle was stripped away from two of his wins because he was tested positive for cannabis by the USADA.

With that said, a lot of former and present WWE athletes train BJJ. For example, the famous former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista was seen training Jiu-Jitsu with yet another WWE wrestler – MVP.
MVP shared the news about their training on Instagram, with him sporting a brown and Bautista a purple belt:
