WNO 31: Late Replacement Announced for Xande Ribeiro Match After Injury to Jordan Preisinger

There’s been a late shake-up to the card for Who’s Number One 31 (WNO 31), as Faris Ben-Lamkadem has stepped in to face Xande Ribeiro after Jordan Preisinger was forced to withdraw due to injury.

The original matchup generated a ton of excitement, with fans eager to see how Preisinger – known worldwide through his YouTube channel Jordan Teaches Jiujitsu – would perform against one of the most accomplished grapplers in history.

Preisinger shared that he suffered an accidental elbow to the face during training, resulting in fractured bone and damaged teeth.
The injury left him in temporary braces and unable to train for at least six weeks, making it impossible to compete on the WNO stage.

Doctors even informed him that he may lose a front tooth if he returns to training too soon, so stepping away from the match became unavoidable.
While he plans to maintain his conditioning so he can return quickly once healed, the injury has pulled him out.

In his place, Faris Ben-Lamkadem has accepted the challenge against Ribeiro on just two weeks’ notice.

Ben-Lamkadem is coming in fresh from recent success, having won gold earlier this month at the IBJJF No-Gi European Championship 2025 in the heavyweight division.
His most notable results have come in no-gi competition, and at just 30 years old, he brings both youth and current competitive momentum into the matchup.
