Yesterday, on Friday – June 18 – we saw a stacked event at Who’s Number One. Many of the best No Gi Jiu-Jitsu athletes of the world competed, including the member of the Danaher Death Squad Craig Jones, who won a unanimous decision victory against Tye Ruotolo in the main event. This was Jones’s first win at the WNO, which he secured by constantly playing from top position, even though he earned a passivity penalty in the final 90 seconds. Tye had displayed a rather aggressive game – constantly attacking from the back and threatening Jones with a submission every time he passed his guard.
Tye’s brother on the other hand, Kade Ruotolo, won via submission (Buggy Choke) against Cole Franson.

The co-main event featured Mikey Musumeci against Junny Ocasio, with Musumeci winning by unanimous decision as well. Musumeci has been attacking Ocasio’s legs during much of the match, trying to Heel Hook and Straight Ankle Lock Ocasio constantly – even coming close to finishing him with a Darce Choke in the final seconds.
