In a viral video making the rounds on social media, UFC’s Sean O’Malley showcased why stepping into any combat scenario with a professional fighter is a risky idea.
O’Malley was talking with influencer Vic Blends, who confidently claimed he could last 30 seconds against the champion in a grappling exchange.
The UFC fighter estimated, on the other hand, that it would take him “about 10 seconds” to secure a submission.
Blends was adamant about his confidence, though:
You gotta give me some respect bro, I got that dog in me.
O’Malley explained that this makes no difference to him whatsoever:
If you don’t got oxygen in you, it don’t matter what you got in you.
The grappling session that followed played out exactly as O’Malley predicted.
Within seconds, he executed a flawless submission.

For those familiar with O’Malley’s background, the outcome was no surprise.
While he is best known for his striking, “Sugar” Sean is a dedicated grappler who trains regularly under ADCC medalist Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes in Arizona.
O’Malley has openly expressed his love for the sport in the past, describing grappling as one of his favorite pursuits:
I enjoy grappling dude, it’s my favorite sport hands down.
100% if I quit fighting today, I would still grapple, still Jiu-Jitsu, still wrestle.
I probably wouldn’t box.I would grapple – grappling is something I enjoy, so I’m excited.
Sloth Jiu-Jitsu: you can be slow and unathletic and still kick butt in Jiu-Jitsu.
