A chaotic brawl broke out immediately after the main event of RAF 10, when tensions boiled over following Khamzat Chimaev’s dominant victory over Dillon Danis.
The matchup was one of the more unusual bookings in Real American Freestyle history.
While Danis is best known for his grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu background, he has little competitive wrestling experience.
Chimaev, on the other hand, is a three-time Swedish national wrestling champion who has built much of his MMA success around his elite wrestling skills.
Many fans viewed the matchup as a difficult assignment for Danis from the moment it was announced.
RAF was already familiar with his wrestling limitations, too, after he lost his promotional debut to Colby Covington via technical fall.
Inside the arena, the contest unfolded much as expected.
Chimaev came out aggressively from the opening whistle, quickly overwhelming Danis and securing a pinfall victory.
However, the real drama began after the match had already been stopped.
As Chimaev stood up following the referee’s intervention, Danis was still holding onto his leg.
Chimaev responded by kicking Danis, instantly escalating tensions between the two camps.
And within seconds, members of both teams rushed onto the stage.
Despite efforts from officials and others present to separate those involved, the situation quickly spiraled into a full-scale melee.
Multiple people became involved as pushing and shoving broke out around the mat area.
Check out the footage of the incident below. What do you think, what instigated it?
