(WATCH) Larry Wheels Humbled In Grappling Session Against Much Lighter MMA Fighters

Larry Wheels recently experienced a harsh reality check during a training session at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas…

Showing the gap between raw strength and grappling skill.

Known for extraordinary feats like a 660 lb bench press and 900 lb squat, Wheels entered the session confident that his size and power would be enough to compete with trained fighters:

I only have to be strong… I’m just not gonna get down… When I hit the ground, the argument is made.

That confidence didn’t last long.

Former UFC fighter Justin Jaynes quickly took control of the situation, pressing Wheels against the cage and executing a clean double-leg takedown before securing dominant position on the ground.

The pattern continued when Wheels trained with Cobey Fehr, a bantamweight fighter competing at 135 lbs.
Despite the massive size difference, Fehr repeatedly took Wheels down and controlled the exchanges with technique and positioning.

When Wheels attempted to use his strength to get back to his feet, Fehr countered effectively, eventually locking in a guillotine choke that forced a tap.

Check out Wheels sparring with both of the fighters on videos below:
