(WATCH) Khamzat Chimaev Dominates Gilbert Burns At RAF 13

Khamzat Chimaev needed a second period to close things out, but the result never felt in doubt as the former UFC champion overwhelmed Gilbert Burns in the RAF 13 co-main event…

Winning 15-4 to move to 3-0 in the promotion.

Chimaev set the tone early, forcing Burns out of bounds with a quick double leg attempt, then following with a four-point takedown to go up 5-0.
Burns answered with a two-point takedown of his own, which only seemed to push Chimaev harder.

He responded with another takedown to close out the first period leading 11-2, a scoreline that would have ended most matches early, but Burns became the first opponent to push Chimaev into a second period in RAF.

Burns kept fighting once the second period began, scoring another two-point takedown to stay competitive.
Chimaev answered with a double leg takedown that put Burns down for a four-point score, sealing the 15-4 win.

Despite the loss, Burns put together a performance that should earn him another shot in RAF.
For Chimaev, the win keeps his unbeaten run in the promotion intact, and he’s already looking toward a bigger test.

Asked about a potential matchup with RAF crossover champion Colby Covington, Chimaev said:

Of course, why not? He has the belt.
