[WATCH] Jean Silva Chokes Out Bryce Mitchell With Ruthless Ninja Choke

[WATCH] Jean Silva Chokes Out Bryce Mitchell With Ruthless Ninja Choke

Jean Silva made a serious statement at UFC 314 – in one of the night’s most anticipated featherweight clashes, Silva put Bryce Mitchell to sleep with a Ninja Choke in the second round!

It wasn’t all fireworks from the jump, as Mitchell came out with high energy and connected with a few kicks early, while Silva slowly dialled in his range.
But once he found it, the tide turned quickly.

Late in the first round, Silva went for a spinning heel kick and jumped on a Guillotine that nearly ended things before the bell.

By round two, Silva was locked in.
He cracked Mitchell with a clean right hand that sent him crashing to the mat.

Instead of diving in, Silva let him up, choosing to continue the striking exchange – where he clearly had the upper hand.
Mitchell’s attempts to take the fight to the ground became more frantic, but Silva wasn’t having it.

Silva shut down every takedown and continued to punish Mitchell until another failed grappling exchange gave him the opening he needed.
He latched onto a Ninja Choke and locked it in.

Mitchell tried to roll out of it, but the hold only tightened. Seconds later, he was unconscious.

The finish officially came at 3:52 of round two, and Silva made sure the message was clear:

I’m the next champion!

Reflecting on Mitchell’s refusal to touch gloves before the fight, Silva added:

I was surprised because I thought it was part of the game [to touch gloves].
I’m sad for him.

I hope and pray and help out Bryce Mitchell because I don’t think he’s right in the head.
