(WATCH) Izaak Michell Confronted On Live TV Amid Arrest Warrant

Izaak Michell has been thrust back into the spotlight – this time after being confronted by an Australian news crew regarding the serious allegations against him and an arrest warrant issued in the United States.

Just months ago, Michell was widely regarded as one of the top competitors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
However, that narrative changed abruptly when Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu announced his removal from the team shortly before Christmas.

The situation escalated when Hannah Griffith publicly accused Michell of sexual assault. Soon after, another woman came forward with similar allegations.
Those claims echoed earlier statements from Nicky Ryan, who had said that multiple women had reported Michell to authorities.

An arrest warrant was subsequently issued in Hays County, Texas, but Michell has not been taken into custody.
Reports indicate that this is because he has remained outside U.S. jurisdiction.

Michell has reportedly been in Australia, his home country, where extradition in this case appears unlikely.

That’s where 10 News entered the story.
Journalist Samantha Butler tracked Michell down in the Gold Coast region of Queensland and attempted to question him on camera.

According to the report, Michell was approached while inside a van he was allegedly living in.
When confronted, he did not respond to any questions and instead closed the door.

Shortly afterward, a woman arrived and drove the van away, ending the encounter.
