LFA 197’s main event turned into a spectacle of sheer determination and grit…
As in the fight for the interim strawweight title, Yasmin Guimares suffered a broken arm from an Armbar in the very first round – yet somehow managed to push through all five rounds.
Guimares challenged defending champion Natasha Kuziutina for the LFA interim strawweight belt.
Late in the first round, Guimares was caught in an Armbar that caused severe damage to her arm.
Despite the injury, Guimares reset her arm during the break between rounds and convinced officials she could continue.
Incredibly, she fought through the remaining four rounds, refusing to let the injury end her title hopes.

WHAT. IS. HAPPENING.
Yasmin Guimarães had her arm dislocated in round one, it was popped back into place between rounds and she’ll come off the stool for round 2 #LFA197 pic.twitter.com/gxwTYdomHx

And, even though Kuziutina retained her belt with a solid performance, but Guimares’ refusal to quit became the story of the night.
