Dillon Danis has been spotted trading rounds with bare-knuckle boxing star Mike Perry – as he nears the end of his training camp for a long-awaited MMA return.
Once considered a rising force in grappling, Danis is a black belt under Marcelo Garcia and competed at ADCC 2017 before making the jump to MMA.
He signed with Bellator, where he quickly picked up two first-round submission wins. But in 2019, he abruptly walked away from the sport.
In the years since, Danis has made more headlines for his online antics than for competition.
His only outing came in a 2023 boxing match with Logan Paul, where he was disqualified after throwing almost no strikes.
Earlier this year, he was expected to box KSI, but the fight collapsed when KSI withdrew.
Rather than chase another boxing opportunity, Danis turned his attention back to MMA.
His first planned return at a GFL event – against Tony Ferguson – fell apart when the card was canceled.
And now, he’s locked in for a new challenge: facing Warren Spencer in the first-ever Misfits MMA fight, with the promotion’s inaugural light-heavyweight title on the line.
With just over a week left before fight night, Danis appears determined to show he’s serious about this comeback.
What do you think, how well will he fare in it?
