Conor McGregor recently impressed MMA fans by demonstrating his grappling skills – submitting a sparring partner twice using different choke variations.
The Irish superstar, a former featherweight and lightweight champion, has been sidelined since his last fight in 2021, where he suffered a severe leg injury against Dustin Poirier.
While McGregor was originally set to return at UFC 303 in a highly anticipated bout against Michael Chandler, he withdrew from the event citing a broken toe on the same leg as his previous injury.
Now, new footage emerged showing McGregor wrapping up submissions during grappling practice.
The video highlights McGregor securing two separate choke variations with relative ease, leading to a number of reactions on social media:
Conor’s grappling is looking real good.
I mean he doesn’t look like he’s trying.
Clearly just going through the motionI’ve seen enough, Conor submits Islam first round.
