(WATCH) Bozigit Islamgereev Pulls Off Spectacular “Flying Squirrel” Comeback

Russian wrestler Bozigit Islamgereev delivered one of the most dramatic moments of the tournament at the U23 European Championships in Serbia…

With an incredible last-second maneuver to steal victory from France’s Rakhim Magamadov.

Trailing on points and facing the possibility of elimination, Islamgereev took a massive risk.
Instead of settling for defeat, he launched himself into a perfectly timed “flying squirrel” move that completely changed the outcome of the match.

In the sequence, Islamgereev vaulted over Magamadov’s head and secured an inverted body lock as he landed on the other side.
Using the momentum of the jump, he twisted and drove Magamadov onto his back and shoulders.

The move scored the points Islamgereev needed to swing the match in his favor.

When the dust settled, Islamgereev had secured a 10–8 victory, allowing him to advance further in the tournament held in Zrenjanin, Serbia.

The highlight-reel moment was only part of his successful run through the bracket.

In the semifinal round, Islamgereev continued his momentum by defeating Azerbaijan’s Vasif Khudiyev in a tightly contested match.
He secured a narrow 3–2 victory on points to move into the championship bout.
