[WATCH] Black Belt Tries To Body Kick Opponent At IBJJF No-Gi European Championship Finals Match

The black belt master 1 featherweight final at the IBJJF No-Gi European Championship 2024 ended in unexpected chaos…
When Renzo Walltter Martinez Barazarte threw a body kick at his opponent, Venino Marciano Rondon de Lima Junior.

The incident unfolded less than 30 seconds into the match, with both competitors still standing and engaged in handfighting when the clip begins.

In the video, Barazarte and Lima Junior appear to lock hands in a “mercy grip” position.
Lima Junior quickly takes advantage of this grip and applies a Wrist Lock, which causes Barazarte to cry out in pain.

Instead of waiting for the referee to step in and potentially declare a submission, Barazarte reacted in the worst possible way.
He threw a body kick at Lima Junior.

Lima Junior easily caught the kick, and the referee quickly intervened – separating the two competitors.

Barazarte, visibly in pain and clutching his hand, began rolling on the mat, pointing to his hand and complaining about the Wrist Lock.
Lima Junior, on the other hand, appeared confused by the situation.

Despite Barazarte’s protests, the referee made the decision to disqualify him for the unsportsmanlike behavior…
Awarding Lima Junior the title of black belt master 1 featherweight champion at the 2024 IBJJF No-Gi European Championship.
