What’s one of the worst things that you could do in a street fight? Yup, that’s right: taunt a person who you know trains martial arts.
For example, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete.
And it seems that this is exactly what happened nearby a local Jiu-Jitsu gym in Las Vegas.
According to Jason Patterson Jr., the BJJ practitioner, two men have complained to him that he and his teammates were staring at them.
Patterson asked the two men to step outside, so that he could deescalate the situation. However, the alleged aggressors kept taunting, and that’s when it all escalated to a physical confrontation.
Patterson body slammed one of the aggressors and tapped him out with a Rear Naked Choke, whereas the other BJJ student took down the other aggressor and pinned him down to the ground.
Here’s what Patterson had to say about the entire situation:
Long story. They pressed us in the gym saying we were staring at them. Off rip we tried to calm it down & not escalate it, they started raising their voices so we told them let’s go outside, where we tried to calm it down again, didn’t work LOL.
The manager of the gym told us they have started problems with people before including that same day, therefore they got banned & we received no consequences.
Street fighting ain’t cool & fighting should always be used for safety. Funny as hell tho.
