[Watch] Airport Staff Member Uses BJJ Against Violent Passenger

Why should you learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu? It’s simple, actually: so you can learn how to defend yourself and the people around you, if it’s ever necessary.

And, while the chances are that you will never need to use BJJ on the street (unless you’re looking for trouble – which you absolutely shouldn’t for obvious reasons), you never know if and when something could go wrong… As it did for this airport staff member.

The staff member, called Adrian, was punched in the back of the head by a violent passenger on the jet bridge. However, what the passenger didn’t know was that Adrian trains Jiu-Jitsu – more specifically, he is a Gracie Combatives graduate!
So, he used his training and mounted the violent man, controlling him from there. Among other things, he used a controlled Americana hold to make sure the passenger wasn’t using his arm (as he was trying to eye gouge him).

And not only that, but Adrian managed to communicate to the other passengers, in a clear manner, that he was in control. And indeed, he remained in control until security came and apprehended the unruly man.

Watch it all take place on the video below:
