In an unexpected crossover, the latest promo for Venom: The Last Dance features Tom Hardy locking up a Rear Naked Choke – on UFC’s Sean O’Malley!
While the crossover might seem unusual at first, it makes more sense considering Hardy’s well-known passion for Jiu-Jitsu.
Hardy, who holds a purple belt in BJJ, regularly competes in local tournaments in the UK, particularly in the masters division.
Over the years, he’s earned several gold medals and developed a deep love for the sport – training with some of the top grapplers in the world.
The short clip from the promo sees Hardy – in character as Eddie Brock – walking into Dana White’s office to ask for a fight in the UFC, claiming he needs the money. White dismisses him…
But moments later, commotion outside the office grabs his attention.
White steps out to find Hardy on O’Malley’s back, applying a Rear Naked Choke.
The UFC CEO then throws money at Hardy to get him to leave, and Hardy escapes down the hallway.
