Two more UFC names are set to step onto the grappling mats!
Arman Tsarukyan and Jean Silva have been announced as participants for Hype Fighting’s upcoming March 11 event in Rio de Janeiro.
The Moscow-based promotion has steadily increased its presence in submission grappling, and the Rio card already featured a high-profile pairing between Shara Magomedov and Jorge Masvidal.
All four athletes are scheduled to compete in submission-only matches, although opponents for Tsarukyan and Silva have not yet been revealed.
Tsarukyan continues to remain active while waiting for his next UFC booking.
In recent months he has entered several competitions outside mixed martial arts, including a wrestling appearance at RAF 6 in Arizona that ended in controversy after a post-match altercation with Georgio Poullas.
He previously appeared under the Hype banner in December, where he faced Shara “Bullet” Magomedov in a grappling bout that ended as a draw, due to the lack of judging criteria.
Inside the UFC cage, Tsarukyan last competed in November, defeating Dan Hooker and keeping himself near the top of the lightweight contender picture.
