The upcoming UFC Fight Pass Invitational (UFC FPI) 10 will feature a main match between two of no-gi grappling’s finest competitors, Ffion Davies and Adele Fornarino.
Davies has been a dominant force in grappling, dating back to her performances in 2022 – when she captured gold at both the IBJJF Worlds and the ADCC World Championships.
Widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound competitors across both gi and no-gi formats, the Welsh phenom followed up her 2022 campaign with further titles in 2023, including an IBJJF gi world title and double gold at the IBJJF No-Gi Worlds.
Despite competing sparingly in 2024, Davies stayed undefeated, getting victories over Mackenzie Dern at the inaugural Craig Jones Invitational and Brianna Ste-Marie.
Fornarino, on the other hand, skyrocketed to the top of the sport in 2024 with a breakout year that saw her go undefeated in both gi and no-gi competition.
After a start with a quick submission win over Amanda “Tubby” Alequin at Who’s Number One (WNO), the Australian grappler claimed gold at the ADCC Asian and Oceania Trials – and delivered a standout performance at the 2024 ADCC World Championships, earning double gold.
Fornarino then finished off her dominant year with a submission victory over Sophia Cassella to win a WNO title.
