UFC Fighter Alan Belcher To Compete In Copa Podio Heavyweight GP

belcher

BJJ black belt Alan Belcher is the third North American on the Heavyweight GP card. Along with Travis Stevens and brown belt Tim Spriggs, Belcher will form the North American trio that promises to give Brazilian participants a tough time on February 1, scheduled to begin at 7 pm at the Botafogo gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro.

Alan Belcher has established his career in MMA, having gone up against the likes of Michael Bisping, Rousimar Palhares (Toquinho) and Jason Macdonald, among other such warriors.

The cards with the names of the 10 competitors for the Heavyweight Grand Prix title have been prepared for the draw set to take place tomorrow, January 7, in Rio de Janeiro.

The draw will seal the fate of the 10 fighters, splitting them between the green and yellow groups.

In the group phase, all fighters will go up against the other participants in their groups, scoring 4 points for each submission, 3 points for a win on points or advantages and 1 point for each tie.
