UFC Calls In The FBI After Suspicious Betting Swing: “This Is Absolutely Insane”

The UFC has escalated a betting controversy from UFC Vegas 110 to federal authorities, after unusual wagering activity preceded a first-round finish that stunned oddsmakers and triggered sportsbook refunds.

The fight between Isaac Dulgarian and Yadier Del Valle saw betting lines shift dramatically in the hours before the fight, prompting several books to pull prop markets and later refund customers.
Dulgarian — originally installed as the favorite — was submitted in Round 1, and the sequence of events set off alarms inside the promotion.

UFC CEO Dana White told TMZ Sports the company’s proprietary betting monitor, IC360, flagged “unusual action” on the fight.
White said he and his team contacted Dulgarian and his lawyer before the bout to ask whether anything was amiss — injuries, debts, or outside approaches.

According to White, the fighter denied any problems and insisted he would “kill this guy”.
Still, when the finish came shortly after, White said the UFC immediately contacted the FBI:

We called the FBI. I’ve met with the FBI twice today.

White also said Dulgarian has been released by the UFC and that the Nevada State Athletic Commission has reportedly withheld his purse, though the commission has not publicly confirmed that step.

High-profile sportsbooks including William Hill and Caesars issued refunds after the betting irregularities were discovered.
The refunds and the rapid referral to law enforcement echo a previous scandal in 2022 — when Darrick Minner’s swift defeat and related betting anomalies led to investigations and long-running fallout for coach James Krause.

White cautioned that no one should be presumed guilty while investigations proceed but acknowledged the situation “doesn’t look good” for Dulgarian given the totality of the circumstances:

We asked him all the questions and everything was: “Absolutely not, hell no.”

Then the fight ended by finish in the first round…
We walked out from the octagon and called the FBI.

White warned fighters that anyone approached about throwing a match should report it to authorities immediately — not post about it later on social media.

Multiple fighters briefly claimed online that they had been offered bribe attempts to fix fights, while some later said they were joking or walked back their posts.
