Charles Oliveira continues to dominate the UFC lightweight division. Even though he missed weight and wasn’t able to walk out of the UFC 274 match as a champion, he is still the best; for he submitted Justin Gaethje with a Rear Naked Choke in the very first round.

The fight between the two started with Oliveira throwing a clean right hand, which rocked Gaethje immediately. However, Gaethje responded immediately with leg kicks… Dropping Charles with a right hand of his own. Oliveira managed to stand back up, but was then dropped right back down with another heavy strike.
Nevertheless, Oliveira stood back up again and continued to strike and kick back. He then pulled guard, but Justin didn’t engage him – which prompted Oliveira to stand back up.
It was at that moment when Charles knocked down Gaethje with a vicious right hand, going to his back immediately. He tried to apply the Triangle Choke, but Gaethje avoided it; so Oliveira transitioned to a Rear Naked Choke, tapping him out.
Later on, as he was getting interviewed by Joe Rogan, Charles issued a challenge to none other than Connor McGregor:
“There’s something missing here. The champion has a name and it’s Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira.”
