Tom DeBlass is one of the best-known and most appreciated individuals in the BJJ community. A BJJ black belt under Ricardo Almeida, he has had a successful winning spree in both grappling and MMA; whereas at the moment, he is focused on creating a number of successful athletes out of his “Ocean County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu” academy.
But not only that – he will soon publish his very own autobiography! “How You Bear It: Triumph And Resilience In Life” is now available for pre-order, as he’s said on an Instagram post:
Pretty awesome day. The pre order for my book is available.
This is the story of my life, and I get extremely personal. How I have dealt with obstacles and tragedy, including deep depressions. I have no doubt that you will enjoy it, and probably be surprised to read all that you read.

Gordon Ryan also shared and praised the news about the book:
I haven’t personally read this yet, but I will tell you that Tom DeBlass was a huge part in not only my early technical development, but my early life as a teenager and young adult. He built me into a man. Still someone I look at as a father and a brother, someone id kill for or die for. This guy knows what life is like. The good and the bad.
