Tom DeBlass Explains The Best Self Defence Method: “It’s Extremely Rare…”

What’s the best method for self defence? Is it Jiu-Jitsu? Is it wrestling? Boxing?
A combination of the above mentioned martial arts and/or some other combat sports as well?

There’s a lot to discuss if we are to reach any sort of a conclusion on this topic.
However, Tom DeBlass has another way of dealing with confrontation – simply not “attending” it in the first place!

Here is what he had to say in a recent social media post:

The best self defense is avoiding confrontation.
Remove yourself from situations that become aggressive.

It’s extremely rare that you will ever see me out late at a bar.
Why would I want to be somewhere around a bunch of drunk dudes that may feel they have something to prove?

It’s also about being kind.
And understanding that there is nothing good that comes from fighting in the street:

If someone bumps into me, I’ll say sorry.
Even though they bump me, I’ll say sorry.

If I make eye contact with someone, I’ll smile and nod.

I’ll literally do anything I could to avoid fighting in the street.
