Thaysa Silva: ‘Cocaine Use Was The Cause Of Thiago’s Violent Behavior’

Thaysa Kamiji Silva, the ex wife of ex UFC fighter Thiago Silva, who was married to him from 2004 to 2012, believed that cocaine has emphasized the aggressive temperament of the athlete. Thaysa, who trains Jiu-Jitsu and is dating her teacher, Pablo Popovitch said the drug abuse has left her former husband in a uncontrolable state:

“We had a healthy relationship, talking, each had his space. During the last three weeks he was well. I think this is the result of cocaine use. My marriage is over since December 2012. In our relationship, I had to deal with assaults from him. But I never went to the police to talk for fear of his reactions. Even after I that did not speak about his assaults “

Thaysa said in an interview with UOL, citing that she has suffered abuse such as being thrown from a ladder by Thiago.

Thaysa, who denied having cheated on ex-husband, spoke about his behavior, and cocaine use, that has ended their marriage.

“The problem was cocaine. He always thinks he is above the law. Our next door neighbor would know that when I was screaming, to call the police. He had the paranoia of cocaine. He came to my house, cut my clothes and pointed the gun at my head. I had already pressed charges, that I withdrew because I was afraid. “
