Samantha Cook, BJJ Black Belt from the UK, Diagnosed with Lymphoma

Samantha Cook, a UK-based BJJ black belt and 2019 European Championships title winner, has recently shared the news that she’s been diagnosed with cancer. More specifically, with lymphoma; a cancer variant that attacks the lymphatic system.
The news were shared on social media:

2022 started as an exciting chapter in our lives as #TeamChill – a new adventure to pursue a dream of opening a school and share our Jiu Jitsu.
As they say everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. Well, we got punched… hard. Samantha is facing Lymphoma – she has won many fights, but this will be the toughest. We encourage your support and positivity during this time.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help Samantha to be able to: “… access specialist addition to care, pay for private options if a delay arises in her current care plan, make memories with friends and family, and generally decrease financial worries at this difficult time.”

In addition to the campaign, her partner – Bradley Hill, who’s also a Polaris veteran – is advertising seminars in order to help raise money; which would help Samantha but also support their dream of opening the “Royal Jiu-Jitsu” BJJ academy.

If you wish to donate to the GoFundMe campaign, you may do so here.
And if you wish to organize a seminar with Bradley Hill, you’re invited to reach out to him directly for more information.
