After the defeat suffered to Tim Kennedy in his only UFC fight, last July 6, Roger Gracie has decided to change his training regimen:

He first hired trainer Phil Learney to work on  his physical conditioning.

Roger told Graciemag:

“I’m doing some serious strength and conditioning work. I want to increase my power and explosiveness. I’m sure that it’ll help me a lot with MMA. I want to be very well prepared physically once I move up one weight division [from 185 pounds to 205 pounds]. I need to be ready for it!”

About his next fight:

“I haven’t signed with any organization yet and therefore still don’t know when I’m fighting next, but I believe it’s gonna be in the beginning of next year.”
