Looks like Roger Gracie will be relying on his main weapon vs Tim Kennedy: His world class Jiu-Jitsu. He won’t fall into the trap of trying to strike with the dangerous Kennedy. A mistake that cost him against King Mo. Although he has been training very seriously his wrestling and striking, he will still look to the ground to finish the fight:
“Too many Brazilian jiu-jitsu masters feed their ego and try to strike with opponents.” Gracie said
“If you put Mike Tyson to start doing MMA, of course he’ll have to learn wrestling, jiu-jitsu, grappling. Then ask him to try and submit people on the ground. He’s ahead of everybody else when it comes to boxing. That happens to be his best weapon. I will always be better on the ground. I will always have a much better chance fighting guys on the ground.”
About how the fight might turn out:
“I would be very surprised if he tried to grapple me on the floor, I really hope he tries.”
