Rodolfo Vieira Focused On MMA Future & Considering Move to California

Rodolfo Vieira has set his focus on a future MMA career.

Unlike his biggest rival in BJJ Marcus Buchecha Almeida who has said that he wanted to test the MMA waters before making a decision, Rodolfo is convinced.

Rodolfo told Tatame magazine that he plans to stay in MMA once in the new mode.

“I really do not want to do just one fight. I want to start training seriously. I do not want just to test myself. I’m looking for a team to train full time. Let’s see if I can take the training. The workouts are worse than the fights. If I do good in practice, there is no way I’ll feel bad in fights. I want to train six months before my first fight. But I’m in not hurry. I want to start slowly, because it is something new. It’s something I’ll start from scratch.”

Rodolfo has definite plans to go to MMA and it’s just a question of time before he does it. He said that he could be moving to California to train with his friend Lyoto Machiada at Black House MMA:

“I’m 24 years old and may be the right time to try a career change. If it goes wrong and I get beaten, I think will have plenty of time to return to the Jiu-Jitsu competition scene at a high level. I’m 101kg and got to lose weight if I do MMA, but I think I can go down well. I’m talking to my coaches and some friends, as Lyoto Machida for example, and I’m considering going to train out there in California, and do this test, ”
