Rickson Gracies’s Life Story To Be Adapted Into A Feature Film

Rickson Gracie is having his life story turned into a feature film!

His 2021 autobiography, Breathe: A Life in Flow, has been acquired by filmmakers Adam Rifkin, Brad Wyman, and Michael P.J. Gerstein’s FutureIII Entertainment – with Wyman known for producing the Oscar-winning film Monster, starring Charlize Theron.

Throughout his career, Rickson famously claimed an undefeated record of over 450 fights, although that figure has been the subject of debate.
His verified MMA record stands at a perfect 11-0, including two victories over Nobuhiko Takada in PRIDE Fighting Championships.

Additionally, Rickson won two Vale Tudo Japan tournaments, where he fought and defeated three opponents in a single night.

Commenting on the upcoming film, Rickson said:

It has been a long time coming for a movie based upon my life.

But what’s most important to me, beyond everything else, is that anyone who watches it, will gain some sort of positive perspective or understanding in their lives.

That’s my ultimate hope and goal for this project.

The producers are currently searching for a director and writer to bring Rickson’s story to life.
Gerstein, who has trained at Rickson’s jiu-jitsu academy for over 20 years, hopes to create a character-driven story that goes beyond the memoir.
