Ricardo Demente an Rodolfo Vieira will face off in a formidable superfight on the 1st of May, again in Rio de Janeiro at Copa Podio. Ricardo Abreu (Also known as Ricardo Demente in BJJ) is a top Jiu Jitsu Black Belt competitor from the Nova Uniao BJJ team. After spending 3 years out of Jiu Jitsu due to lack of sponsorship, he returned in 2009 with great wins over some of BJJ’s very best, he has maintained his good form, having been invited as a grappling sparring partners by many big names in MMA (mixed martial arts) such as UFC standout Anderson “the spider” Silva and Tito Ortiz. Away from the mats since 2011, Ricardo Demented devoted himself to MMA and has recently been absent from BJJ competitions. Inside the cage, the beast had three professional fights, winning all, with two knockouts and one submission.
