As the director of the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo , Renzo Gracie promises that it will be a historical edition, on the 9th and 10th of November in California. The expectation is to increase the public awareness for Jiu-Jitsu with great attractions:

“We are building a cool layout, bigger and more beautiful. It will now be two days long and we expect to triple the number of visitors. In 2012 we had 4,500 visitors and this year we estimate that there will be 12,000. The sponsors have already entered, everything is arranged. The Expo was paid for prior to the fixed date. I believe that each year we will increase the number of visitors, “He said in an exclusive interview with tatame.

With the growth of the event, Renzo wants in the future that the World Jiu-Jitsu expo becomes the main tournament calendar in Jiu-Jitsu.

“My dream is to join the Worlds and make this the week of the World championships. I’ve talked with Carlinhos (Gracie) and he liked the idea, “he said.

The Jiu-Jitsu Expo will feature the cream of the gentle art. Marcus Buchecha , Rodolfo Vieira, Romulo Barral and Leandro Lo are some names present. Besides the fights, there will be seminars, bringing together major stars such as Roger, Rickson and Royce Gracie.

“We’re taking the best, opening the doors to everyone. A lot of people are calling and offering to be present. The prestige of the Expo is so great that many came looking for us. I love these guys: Buchecha, Rodolfo, Caio Terra, this new generation. Romulo Barral also. And besides the fights, there are a lot of seminars, “he said.

Renzo Gracie has never strayed from Jiu-Jitsu. Always closely watching competitions around the world, the fighter made a point of highlighting the style that BJJ athletes practice today.

“I’m glad that Jiu-Jitsu is in good hands. The trend is that it is only increasing and moving forward. This new generation of Jiu-Jitsu is a pretty sight, and moves forward. All are very dedicated to the sport, “he added.
