Real Life Hulk Martyn Ford is Back Training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu After Academy Re-Opens

Actor/bodybuilder Martyn Ford is a freak of nature. Towering at 6’8″ – 203 cm, he weighs a huge 320 lbs – 145 kg of pure muscle. Ford has starred in movies Boyka: Undisputed (2016), Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) and Redcon-1 (2018).

Ford has been training BJJ on and off for the past few years. Due to his busy schedule, he hasn’t been able to be consistent but now he’s back at it, and came back to BJJ at the opening of his BJJ academy in England:

Back in 2018, he signed with Polish MMA organization KSW. The date of his MMA debut has yet to be set.

Off season. This is how i looked when i hit 24.3 stone. Standing at 6’7 thats still a very good weight in all fairness for what was relatively lean. Will be very interesting to see what kind of rebound i get post diet. All very much depending on what project i have coming up next, but the appetite im going to have will be insane, and this time i will ve hitting training and nutrition with a whole new style and bringing more of a scientific approach to the table, rather than just training for fun. Speaking to friends yesterday on set i feel this is really my time to knuckle down and bring something crazy to the table. Watch out people, a whole new style of action hero/villian is about to be born! Lol #targets #film #training

Ford went from skinny pro cricket player to massive bodybuilder in an amazing transformation:

Martyn Ford told simplyshredded.com about his regular training routine which includes MMA and BJJ at the Gracie Barra Birmingham Academy in the UK.

What is your current training philosophy? How often do you change your training?

Currently I am doing HIT training. I run a program for 4-5 weeks and then I have a week off, where I do high volume work. I will switch up the exercises in the second phase, but the reps and methods will remain the same. In regards to fitness, I do MMA training twice per week, with two sessions at the Gracie Academy for BJJ and 2-3 interval sessions in the gym.

What does your supplementation look like?

Whey Isolate
BCAA’s
Creatine
Glutamine
Multi and Mineral Vitamins
ZMA
Udo’s Oil
Garlic
Ginger

martynfordofficialBursting out my pyjamas! Lol had an awesome few days getting back into training for my trip. Loving training in so many different aspects of fitness at the minute really pushing and stretching my body to the limits! The key to growing is never stop learning, pushing and wanting more, never settle, never take for granted and always remember there is someone who knows more than you. Open yours ears, close your mouth and absorb the knowledge of others like a sponge! #BJJ #Martynford #training
