Ralek Gracie’s Latest Project: Drama Series About Jiu-Jitsu

Ralek Gracie is one of the most polarizing figures in bjj. While there might be a lot of more controversial figures his constant flip flopping and the inability to make payments towards athletes who were featured in his events permanently soured him to a number of jiu-jiteiros.

Ralek is mostly famous for founding Metamoris which initially provided a string of high profile sub only matches with high production value. However the promotion quickly fell into a financial hole and lost backers. His debts (and the horrible rap video he released) make him one of the Most Hated persons in jiu-jitsu today.

Gracie had already announced that he would fight MMA (which he did) and also get a bank loan in order to pay his debts. He organised a final low budget Metamoris event where he apparently paid the main star Gordon Ryan but it is still highly unlikely that he has paid back all the fighters that he owes money to.

His latest venture will have grappling fans scratching their heads: He has produced a new drama series which tells the story of a young boy with a hard upbringing that discovers Jiu-Jitsu through Chris Haueter.

This is not the first time that Ralek has explored his creative style. Last year, he released an artsy new video:
