In a recent interview with the MMA Today podcast, Patrick Gaudio has revealed that not only did the New Wave Jiu-Jitsu team welcome him with open arms…
But even invested actual money into his health, and therefore Jiu-Jitsu.
When asked how he was received by the New Wave crew, Gaudio had nothing but words of praise for the team:
It’s been great. Since I’ve arrived, they have been super welcoming, you know?
They take time to teach and correct me, all of them. It’s unreal, you know? Gordon especially.
Gaudio then shared a piece of information that not many people know about…
That Gordon Ryan helped him out when he injured his knee, by helping him pay for the required stem cells therapy – that made all the difference in Gaudio’s recovery:
Something no one knows, when I got here, I just my knee from a heel hook.
I injured myself pretty badly. I could barely walk…He went and paid for my stem cell treatment, for my knee.
That stuff is really expensive, man.I feel like they really want the best for me, you know?
Like, they want to see me do well.
