The pair faced off for the first time earlier this year at ONE Fight Night 24, where Bastos won a unanimous decision and took the title from Kelly, who had previously held the distinction of being the only female BJJ champion in ONE Championship’s history.

Kelly originally claimed the inaugural atomweight title with a decision victory over Jessa Khan at ONE Fight Night 14 in 2023, but she wasn’t able to defend it successfully before Bastos dethroned her.

Now, as the reigning atomweight champion, Bastos has her first chance to defend the title, facing the very opponent she defeated to win it.

For Kelly, ONE Fight Night 26 is a shot at redemption – an opportunity to reclaim her title and exact revenge against Bastos.
A win for Kelly would not only mark her return to the top but would also likely set the stage for a trilogy bout in 2025.

However, if Bastos prevails, she will likely face a fresh challenger for her next title defense.
