ONE Championship has announced a major submission grappling match for March 13 – when Tye Ruotolo will defend his welterweight title against fast-rising Polish contender Pawel Jaworski!
The 10-minute title match will take place in Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium, with Ruotolo returning to the discipline where he built his reputation as one of the most dynamic grapplers on the planet.
At just 22 years old, Ruotolo already owns a flawless record inside ONE.
His 4-0 run against elite competition earned him the promotion’s inaugural welterweight submission grappling belt in November 2023, where he dominated Magomed Abdulkadirov over ten relentless minutes.
Since then, the Atos standout has added highlight-reel moments and successfully defended his title against longtime rival Dante Leon.
While Ruotolo briefly ventured into MMA and went 2-0 with back-to-back Rear Naked Choke finishes, this matchup will be a return to his grappling roots against one the most dangerous opponents of his career.

Jaworski, on the other hand, enters the promotion riding a wave of momentum across Europe.
The 21-year-old exploded onto the black belt scene in 2025, winning IBJJF No-Gi Worlds at 85kg and sweeping both his division and the absolute bracket at No-Gi Euros.
Across those tournaments he finished seven of nine opponents, showcasing a ruthless submission game built around crushing leg locks & constant pressure.
